Slowing Down from the Craziness of Life!

Man, I can't believe it has been a month since my last post. Things have been so hectic lately in every area of life it feels like. I have been so stressed lately because of all the things that I have going. While I am excited about the stage of life that I am in, it is literally NO JOKE! I am in the process of trying to finish my thesis paper and graduate with my Master's in May, grow Purity W/Style, the brand and T-shirt line that I launched last August, launch another segment of the Purity W/Style business that I am really excited to release and share soon, along and a whole list of other things that I currently have going on. While I am grateful for these opportunities this time is characterized  by nothing short of a lot of hard work, late nights, early mornings, constant meetings, phone calls, fittings, frustration and ecstatic happiness!

One thing I am quickly learning is that while I am a person who enjoys staying busy and accomplishing goals there is a distinct difference between being busy, productive and effective. Many people can be busy and have a lot going on, but are you so busy that you are not productive? The next level is that you can be productive, but are you really being effective, meaning that you are highly impactful at the tasks you are pursuing and accomplishing. I feel as if many times "we", and yes I am including myself in this "we" category can get these items twisted. Honestly, I am now beginning to feel so much pressure in different areas of my life. I know this new found and it feels like ever-growing pressure is from all that I have going on. I recently had an epiphany, and made the decision that I can not say yes to anything else. And I for sure can not add more to my already overflowing plate at the moment. As much as I may want to help, the reality is that I also have to take care of myself (mind, body, soul) and keep my sanity!  More importantly, I have to be consistent with the things that I have currently committed to so that I can put my best efforts forward. I truly believe that making these decisions to F.O.C.U.S. (Follow One Course Until Success) will help me to help myself to succeed individually and collectively. The same is true for you. Figure out the things that are most important and follow those until you reach success.

There is so much more that has happened, as every day is such a journey, but that's it for now. Thank you for taking this journey with me. Stay encouraged, stay motivated and always keep pursuing! Talk to you soon :)

xoxo
